Tanganyika Wildlife Park
May 23, 2010
We met at Spangles and Dan Seely took the position of Road Captain to lead us to the wildlife park by Goddard.
We ended up with 18 of us present so it was a nice sized group. Tanganyika is similar to a zoo but here you can
be up close and personal with some of the animals. Dan and grandson, Max, rode a protesting camel. Dan asked
about the weight limit and the keeper said it wouldn't matter if it was 5 lbs, the camel would protest. The facility
is famous for breeding endangered species, especially white tigers, snow leopards, rhinos and penguins to name a
few. They have done this for years but only recently opened to the public. Following Tanganyika, we rode to
Braums for ice cream and a short meeting where we discussed the upcoming August weekend.
