prize is a 42" flat screen TV.  Anyone interested in purchasing a ticket should contact Elroy.

Wayne Eck, Director, passed a sympathy card around for everyone to sign.  This will go to Carl Hagebuschwhose wife Cathey

recently passed away after an 8 year battle with ovarian cancer.  Wayne said she was a wonderful, loving, strong person who

loved triking and will be greatly missed.

Wayne talked about the state elections coming up March 23rd.  He introduced Sonny Suskey and Jody Guilford, from SEK.  Sonny

is running for the position os Historian and was asked to say a few words.  Dan Seely has also been on the list to run for this position

but has decided to back down from the running.  Sonny briefly mentioned his ideas for this position -- archiving photos and stories

and articles of interest on the state website.  He added that he feels this is a state affair and he will not contact National.  Ish Deel

has been the Historian for quite some time and is also running for this position again.

Roslyn Snyder Dwight Rix

Jerry Dunn, Treasurer, asked if it had been decided whether we could vote by proxie in the state election.  Junior Hester, Regional

Director, said we can vote by proxie as long as signatures are witnessed.  He said that no one under the age of 16 is allowed to vote

even though they may be members.  This will be made more clear in the by-laws in the near future.    We decided that the next meeting,

March 16th, would be a perfect time to do the proxie vote for those who will not be driving to Emporia to cast their ballot in person.

Wayne will take care of getting these votes to Emporia.
