Twenty members came out for our first meeting of the new year.  It was warm

enough that three rode their trikes.  Beautiful day to get together to start

planning our activities for the year.

Larry Adams, Director, opened the meeting and said we would be talking

about our activities for the year.

Jerry Dunn, Treasurer, gave his report.  He said the OPT annual dues are

due and explained the reasons for the dues.  It allows our members to vote

and also keeps people from other chapters coming into our meetings when we

are voting on something and taking over.  We require BTW dues to be paid

and current before paying the OPT dues and he has added a column on his

report indicating who's paid and who's behind.  Everyone at the meeting

today paid their dues.

Wayne Eck, State Director, talked about The Chill, which started out as

a motorcycle show, evolved into a motorcycle and car show and now we

are adding our trikes.  He encouraged all of us to put our trikes into the show

which will help enhance our presence and promote BTW.  The entry form

is due by February 11th, with a fee of $30.  After that it is $40.   The price

of entry gets you 2 arm bands, which are good for the 3 days of the show.  This

is much cheaper than paying at the door just to go in and look one time.

Wayne said we need 15 trikes for the show.  Fourteen agreed to do it:  Gary

Harris (1 trike), Dale & Kathy Walter (2 trikes), Bob Primm (1 trike),

Larry Mount (1 trike), Ros Snyder (1 trike), Dan & Tish Seely (2 trikes)

Kenny Flowers (1 trike), Larry Adams (1 trike), Wayne Eck (2 trikes), Jerry

Dunn (1 trike), Dwight Rix (per Wayne, 1 trike), Ray Miller (maybe - if he

can get his trike fixed).  Linda passed out entry forms and 3 have paid so far.

Linda Dunn, Activities Coordinator, passed out handouts with a list of

suggestions for activities.  As we talked about these, several other ideas were

mentioned and added to the list.  On the list were columns for "yes", "no"

or "maybe" to show interest.  From these answers, Linda and Larry Adams

will put together 3 or 4 outings.  As always, the more ideas, the better so if

anyone has thoughts throughout the year, please speak up.

We talked about when to do our annual Trike-About weekend.  The last two

years it has been in August, which has been pretty hot.  Linda suggested it be

moved to September, a couple weeks after the State Trike-In, which would be

the 21st - 23rd.  It should be cooler and we could do more in the way of trike

games or rides.  And there were places to go that we didn't get to do this

last time that several might like to do .  Everyone agreed this was a good idea.

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was closed.

Next meeting:  Sunday, February 5th, 3 pm, Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant,

119 W. Central, Andover, KS (strip mall corner of Andover Road and Central).
