Hutchinson Salt Mine and Storage Tour

                                  Saturday, April 10, 2010

We met at Park City Spangles at 9:30 AM, called the Salt Mine and got reservations

for the 11:20 AM tour, and headed that direction around 10 AM.  The tour is

a combination walk and dark ride which is very interesting and fun.  The salt

mined here is for road salt.  There are two other salt mines in the area that mine

and process table salt.  The vein of salt goes from Kansas City SW to Albuquerque.

The storage area is used by several companies and includes paper records, movie

films, movie costumes, and more.
