Haysville Parade
October 15, 2011
When we were getting ready for the parade, and then riding to Haysville, for most of
us, it was around 45 degrees. Out on the highway, going 60 miles an hour, made for
a very chilly morning. But, by the time we were in the line-up for the parade, the sun
was up and the temperature warmed fairly quickly. By noon, the jackets were off and
we were in fine shape. Twelve trikes represented OPT in fine fashion. Several people
along the parade route gave us the thumbs up or shouted they liked the trikes. Little
kids scrambled for the candy we threw and all was well that ended well. After the
parade, we went to Carlos O'Kelly's for lunch, then home for the afternoon nap or
whatever was on the schedule.
