Second Annual
BTW Open Prairie Trikers
Trike-About Weekend
12, 13, 14 August 2011
Greetings!
This is your official invitation to the BTW Open Prairie Trikers 2011 Trike-About, August 12, 13, 14, in Wichita.
We have a full schedule to keep you busy and we will have escorts spaced throughout the group so no one gets lost.
We are asking for RSVPs, by August 8th as we need a head count for food Friday evening, the restaurants and Exploration Place.
It would also be helpful to know which parts you are planning on attending. Our schedule is set up so you can join in at any point.
You may respond to anyone on the committee listed below.
We will be raffling off a hand-tied Amish Quilt at $2 per ticket or 6 tickets for $10. You do not have to be present to win.
We will have it at the hotel Friday evening, and carry it with us Saturday so you will have an opportunity to look at it. The drawing
will be at the end of the Trike-About.
Park City Express Inn, 793 Beaumont St., Park City, KS is giving us special rates for our event. Please call 316-927-3900
and mention BTW to get your discount. The rates vary from $52 for one bed single or double occupancy, $59.95 two beds double,
and $72.95 for three beds. They have an outdoor pool so bring your suit! The hotel has asked that you make your reservations
by July 31st if at all possible. They are busy and weekends are filling up fast.

8 pm Ride to the Keeper of The Plains in Riverside Park where we will have cookies and a cold drink for you. The iconic
"Keeper of the Plains" pays tribute to the Native Americans who made the area their home before the arrival of
settlers. Located at the confluence of the Arkansas and Little Arkansas Rivers, the Keeper Plaza incorporates the
history of the Native Americans and embodies a "sacred hoop" and the 4 elements that make up life (earth, air, fire
and water). Each of the five manufactured boulders in the river next to the plaza has a fire feature, and the grouping
makes up the "Ring of Fire." It is quickly becoming one of the most photographed locations in Wichita.
We will also show you the famous Troll who lives in the storm drains beneath the city.
Evening ends with escorting our guests back to the motel.
Sunday Morning
9 am Benton, KS Airport Restaurant for breakfast. Sit inside or out, watch the planes, and have a great breakfast at a
reasonable price. Talk about the weekend and bid everyone farewell until we meet again.
