Cold and snowy weather didn't stop us from having our first planning meeting of 2011.  Director, Jim Woody,

opened the meeting by introducing himself and the newly elected officers – Larry Adams, (Assistant Director),

James Smith (Sergeant at Arms) Linda Dunn (Secretary, Activities Coordinator, Webmaster), Jerry Dunn (Treasurer),

Bill Taber (Road Captain), and Dale “Pete” Walter (Co-Road Captain).

Jim said he and his wife, Sandy, had attended the State Christmas Party and had a good time.  There was a good

turnout, good food, good prizes and most of all, good fellowship with other trikers.  He hopes that more of us will attend

next time.

Jim reported that members, Ray and Georgie Miller were not able to attend due to a fire at their home New Year’s

Eve Day.  Their garage was a total loss including an antique car and their trike.  Several thousand in tools and equipment

was also lost.  They are still cleaning up and taking inventory but wanted to thank the ones who have been out there.

Their son, Jeff, gave Ray the T-Bucket Trike he has been working on.  It still needs wiring and paint so if anyone in the

group is able to help, give them a call.

Jerry Dunn, Treasurer, reported that we ended last year with $278.58 which included dues paid early for this year.  He

said that chapter dues are due at this meeting which gives those people the right to vote on issues that come up during the

year.  Jim added that he wants chapter dues paid by February if at all possible.  Thirty people paid today.  Jerry passed the

hat for the regular chapter collection and got $56.64 – $9.00 was added later.  An updated financial report will be done and

sent to the Director.  Receipts will be given at the next meeting.

Linda Dunn, Activities Coordinator, passed out the calendar of events for this year.  All parades, events and activities that

we normally do, including those of other chapters, state and national were listed.  Also listed were several ideas to be considered.

She asked that everyone take the list home, think about it, come up with more ideas and report back at the next meeting.  Jim

said he would like to make decisions at the next meeting.

Jim closed the meeting saying our next meeting is February 13th at Ryan’s on N. Rock Road.
